July 2023
Crieff Cloverleaf (www.cloverleaf.scot) tour of Scotland via The Peak and Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, including Snake Pass and the Cat and Fiddle

The Crieff Cloverleaf (www.cloverleaf.scot) is less well known than the NC500 but no less interesting, with the benefit of being able to stay in one hotel for the North, East and West legs, drop your luggage and ride light.

Our route will take us up through the Peak District National Park and later on through the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, before wending our way to our Hilton hotel in Dunblane, base for four nights. The next three days will be spent riding the North, East and West petals of the Cloverleaf, around five hours riding a day, with plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and food. We'll take a day to head back to Kendal, via the Lake District, exploring new roads, then after a final good nights rest, we'll head South and home.

No single person supplements, the price you see is the price you pay. For pillion passenger rate please contact us.

"This route was created by locals who really know the roads and one big benefit is there are many fewer campervans and other traffic on it. Awesome scenery, great roads, probably a few midges on the visor!"

Itinerary / Locations

Day 1
Meeting near Oxford, we'll head north taking the opportunity to make good progress past Birmingham, when we'll head off towards the Peak District taking in the famous Snake pass on our way towards Skipton and the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales.
Day 2
After a good nights rest and an even better breakfast, we wend northwards into the 'Dales and then on to the lake District, skirting Windermere and then north to Dumfries and on to the Hilton Hydro at Dunblane, where we will be staying in comfort for the next four nights. Remember to bring your gym kit there is a great indoor pool and gym to ease away the days aches in.
Day 3
Cloverleaf North, 250 miles of delightful roads, visiting Aviemore, Kingussie and Braemar to mention just a few.
Day 4
Cloverleaf East, taking us out to places to twist your tongue, Kirkton of Glenisla, Shanzie, then on to the Firth of Tay. Opportunities to try fresh local lobster and salmon just caught.
Day 5
The West leaf, my personal favourite, taking in the Bridge of Orchy, Loch Fyne, Glencoe and Achnacreebeag, just north of Dunbeg, stunning coastal roads.
Day 6
Time to leave Scotland today and move southwards, new roads and sights through the Lake District and our final night together in Skipton. On the way we'll ride the Cat and Fiddle road, one of the most iconic biking roads in the country.
Day 7

Sadly it's time to head home, either in a group to Oxford or via your own route, depending on your requirements.

There will be around five hours riding each day. The order in which we ride the north, east and west leaves may be subject to change to take advantage of weather conditions.
